We’ve rolled out a new round of updates to improve your overall experience in LodgeiT.
You can now attach supporting documents directly to a tax return for future reference or evidence. Keep everything connected to the right form, so when you need to review a return later, your supporting files are right where you expect them.
Supporting documents are stored in LodgeiT for your internal records only and are not sent to the ATO as part of lodgment.
You can now add CC recipients to an e-signature request. CC recipients will receive the same document notifications and can view and download the signed document, keeping everyone aligned without extra follow-ups.
LodgeiT now automatically prefills PAYGW details for activity statements, reducing manual entry and helping you lodge faster with fewer errors. A big thank you to everyone who participated in the beta and shared feedback, it helped us refine the experience before release.
We’ve simplified the amendment process! You can now create a tax return as an amendment right from the start. No need to create an original return first and mark it as lodged, which is especially helpful if the original was lodged in another software.
We’ve also introduced a new AI Assistant in LodgeiT, available via the Support button in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Our AI Assistant is designed to help you get answers faster. It can guide you through LodgeiT features, help troubleshoot and fix errors in tax returns, and help with general ATO-related guidance.
Next time you’re unsure about something or need quick guidance, give it a try. It’s there to help whenever you need it.

We’ve added new features to make tax and reporting smoother, smarter, and more secure. Here’s what’s new:
You can now attach supporting documents like invoices or cover letters to any e-signature request in a tax return or financial report. Everything is merged into a single PDF for signing, making the process smoother for your clients. Please note that it is not possible to add signatures to supporting documents. They are included for reference only.
For firms with multiple partners, you can now set the client owner as the default signatory in practice settings. This lets you show the right name and signature in reports. Learn more.
You can now add your agent’s handwritten signature to a tax return. Simply enable this option when sending for e-signature or when printing the tax return.
You can prefill SMSF tax returns with data from financials. Plus, a new Reconciliation section helps ensure accuracy and reduces manual entry.
You can now configure how addresses are mapped when syncing clients with QuickBooks Accountant. You can configure it in client sync settings.
To meet ATO security requirements, LodgeiT now logs users out automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity. This is a mandatory control designed to prevent unauthorised access to sensitive data.
If you log in with Intuit or Xero, we recommend setting a LodgeiT password in your account settings so you can continue your session without being redirected.
We are migrating to the newest ATO activity statements API, which enables prefilling for PAYGW fields. This feature is currently in beta, and we’re inviting users to take part in testing. If you’d like to join, please contact us at support@lodgeit.net.au.

With custom page breaks, you can now manually insert breaks exactly where you need them, ensuring your reports are clean, professional, and easy to read.

We’re improving the way you manage tax depreciation in LodgeiT. You can now add pools and assets directly into the Company, Trust, Partnership and Superfund tax returns.
You can seamlessly migrate existing assets if you’ve used our depreciation tool before. LodgeiT will map pools and assets to their appropriate sections on the tax return, eliminating the need for manual entry.

1️⃣ CGT Worksheet Updates
You can now correctly split the "Less costs incurred" among the owners in the CGT worksheet.
2️⃣ Work Dashboard Export
You can now export your work items to Excel or CSV! Access this feature via the 3-dot menu on your dashboard or visit the Export Page.
3️⃣ Filter for Not Suspended Forms
We’ve added a Not Suspended filter to the work and form dashboards, helping you focus only on active, non-suspended forms. This feature will be available starting 26th December.

Great news! The ATO systems will remain operational during the Christmas shutdown period with no planned maintenance.

You can now easily print your lodgment receipts! Just click the Print button on the tax return lodgment receipt page to save a hard copy or a digital version for your records.
Now you can unlock lodged forms. It can help in cases when you need to relodge the form. You can also set permissions to control who has access to this feature, ensuring secure and managed use.
You now have the ability to unlock lodged forms, which is particularly useful if you need to relodge a form. Additionally, you can set permissions to control who is able to unlock forms.
Please be informed that that effective immediately, we will no longer support the following ATO forms:
This decision is due to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) deactivating support for these services, meaning they are no longer available for submission.

The issue with TPAR (Taxable Payments Annual Report) and TFNR (Closely Held Trusts TFN Report) lodgment errors has been resolved.
LodgeiT is now receiving proper responses from the ATO, ensuring that lodgment status is accurately reflected within the system.
You can now lodge TPARs & TFNRs as usual, and the status should update correctly in LodgeiT without errors.
Please note: Do not re-lodge any forms that previously showed errors unless you have confirmed they were not lodged successfully on the ATO portal.
